How do I disable lldp for all interfaces?

Environment

  • Cumulus Linux, all versions

Resolution

Stop the lldpd service, stop monitoring lldpd, then disable the lldpd service.

Cumulus Linux Version 2.5.2 and Later

cumulus@switch$ sudo service lldpd stop
cumulus@switch$ sudo jdoo stop lldpd 
cumulus@switch$ sudo update-rc.d lldpd disable

Cumulus Linux Version 2.0.0 through 2.5.1

cumulus@switch$ sudo service lldpd stop
cumulus@switch$ sudo monit stop lldpd 
cumulus@switch$ sudo update-rc.d lldpd disable

Cumulus Linux Version 1.5.x

root@switch:~# service lldpd stop 
root@switch~# monit stop lldpd 
root@switch:~# update-rc.d lldpd disable

You can access NVIDIA Cumulus support content from the Mellanox support portal.

You open and update new cases on the Mellanox support portal. Any previous cases that have been closed have been migrated to the Mellanox support portal.

Cases that are still open on the Cumulus portal will continue to be managed on the Cumulus portal. Once these cases close, they will be moved to the Mellanox support portal.
