Resetting the Quagga Configuration

Follow

Issue

Is there a way to wipe the Quagga config and start fresh?

Environment

  • Cumulus Linux 2.5.x

Resolution

  1. Download the quagga package locally.

    cumulus@switch$ cd /tmp
    cumulus@switch$ sudo apt-get download $(dpkg-query -W quagga | tr "\t" "=")

Note: If the package does not download, stop here.

  2. Purge Quagga with apt-get purge, then reinstall using the downloaded deb package:

    cumulus@switch$ sudo apt-get purge quagga
    cumulus@switch$ sudo dpkg -i quagga*.deb

  3. Clean up by removing the downloaded deb package:

    cumulus@switch$ sudo rm quagga*.deb
